Simpson Tacoma Kraft wants the same tax break as wind, solar

The House Finance Committee this morning held a hearing on a bill that would extend the same tax exemption now enjoyed by wind and solar power operations to biomass plants. House Bill 3116, sponsored by House Majority Leader Lynn Kessler, D-Hoquiam, also would extend the sales tax exemption to 2014. Otherwise, it expires in 2009.
